On April 3, 2017 a small breed white dog intact male (Corgi mix?) male estimated to be 2-3 years old was brought to Northwood.  A Good Samaritan found him as a stray in rural Monticello in early January. Many attempts have been made to try and find his owner to no avail. The night of April 3rd Walter was hit by a car, sustaining no broken bones but resulting in significant abrasions all over his body.  His left lower canine tooth was fractured as well, possibly in this trauma.  Thankfully, our friends at The Animal Hospital and Pet Resort at Southwood were able to patch him up – you can’t even tell that he had such a rough night not too long ago!  Walter was selected as an ambassador for CARE at two local schools recently – he was great with the kids!   He “smiles” when he gets nervous which is just too cute. Today, Walter is happy, healthy, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and ready to go home with you!
