On Nov. 18th a very ill puppy came in on emergency. The 12 week old (DOB 8-19-18) male black and tan Yorkie/Chihuahua mix was found laterally recumbant and minimally responsive when the owners returned home from work. He had seemed fine earlier in the day. On exam he was wet (possibly fell in his water bowl), hypothermic (low body temperature) and hypoglycemic (low blood sugar). He was underweight and had a flea infestation. Prince was not responding to sound or touch when he arrived on emergency. The owner relinquished him to Northwood for emergency care. Within 2 days the puppy was eating and acting normally. Prince has been neutered and is almost done with his puppy vaccines. He is a very friendly little guy. He loves everyone!
