On July 13, 2015, a red and white 5 month old female Chihuahua presented on emergency with severe gastrointestinal signs (vomiting, bloody diarrhea). She was laterally recumbent and obtunded due to low blood sugar. She joined CARE and was diagnosed with parvovirus. Pearl responded well to aggressive treatment, is now out of quarantine, has been spayed, microchipped and started on vaccinations. Pearl loves to be held and is a happy little dog – come meet her today at Northwood Animal Hospital.
