On Sept 17th a very ill 10 week old (est DOB 7-2-19) male tan and white Chihuahua puppy was brought to Northwood on emergency. He presented profoundly neurologic, unable to stand, wobbly, trembling and vomiting. There was nothing the owner was aware of him getting into. He had not been to the vet yet so he was unvaccinated. There was some concern about congenital liver defect causing his symptoms, versus a severe toxicity. The puppy was relinquished for treatment. Likely this was a toxicity as within 24 hours of treatment he was much better. We named him Nugget and he is available for adoption.
