Nell was found by a man hiking through the National Forest on July 10th. She was laterally recumbent, too weak to walk/stand, with just enough strength to wag her tail. She entered the CARE program at Northwood Animal Hospital where testing showed she was suffering from life-threatening anemia due to a severe hookworm infection. She received an emergency blood transfusion and was started on dewormings. Today, Nell is a happy, healthy dog who is spayed, microchipped, and has started on vaccinations.
Species: Canine / Dachshund mix
