On June 25th a rabbit was brought to Northwood. She was a stray rabbit the owners had found in their neighborhood 5 months prior. She presented with a bloody “sac” protruding from her urogenital area. Likely this was a uterine prolapse. Surgery was out of reach financially for the owners so they relinquished to Northwood. She had emergency surgery that day to reduce her uterus and keep in place with purse string suture. A more permanent fix was achieved when she was spayed a few days later. . She has recovered nicely. We have been working on handling her so she is becoming more comfortable with being held. She is a black and white domestic rabbit and based on her color pattern we believe her to be a breed called English Spot. We are guessing her age to be about 3 years old. Her name is Monroe. She is ready for a new home.
