On October 12th a rough looking kitten (est. to be about 5 months old) was brought to Northwood. She had been found as Cascades Park (N. Monroe and Gaines st.). She was thin, was squinting both eyes and had SEVERE infection/scabbing of her entire face, including around her eyes, ears, head, legs and ventrum. A skin scrape showed Scabies mites. She was also full of intestinal parasites spirometra, hooks and rounds). We named the little brown tabby Magnolia. Her estimated DOB is 5/14/18. Magnolia had to stay in isolation for a few weeks since her skin disease was so contagious to others. She is released from quarantine, skin and GI parasites
addressed and is doing great. Once she is spayed she will be made available for adoption.
