On June 14, 2021 a kitten estimated to be about 7 wks old was brought to Northwood.  She was a stray, found on Attapulgus Hwy and 119 SW Rd. in Gadsden Co.  She was a DMH brown tabby, DOB 4-18-21.  She had a dull mentation and was dehydrated upon presentation.  It was unknown if she had been hit by a car or was ill from malnutrition/dehydration.  We named her Lady Violet.  She responded well to good nutrition and care.  She was treated for ear mites, is FeLV/FIV negative, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed.  Lady Violet was adopted.

6-22-22:  Lady Violet was returned to Care after being adopted in March.  Unfortunately, she was too spicy with the young child in the home.  So Lady Violet will need a child-free home.  We hoped she had finally found her forever home.

But alas, 12-20-22:  Poor Lady Violet!  She has been returned to us, yet again.  This was not her fault though.  She had been doing well in her new home.  However, they were moving and could not take her with them.  She had to be treated for a skin infection she had when she arrived, but otherwise she is well.  She just needs another chance at a forever home.
