On October 8th a very ill DSH brown tabby male  kitten, estimated to be only about 4 weeks old, was brought to Northwood on emergency.  He was a stray, found on Lillian Springs Rd and Highway 90 by Kelly Jr. Store in Gadsden County.  He has a large maggot infected wound on his left shoulder.  Maggots were infesting his eyes and rectum.  We named him Grubworm. Grubworm was treated for his wounds.  A few days later, another abscess formed and was treated. He has some issues with constipation for a time, but as he got older that all worked out. Grubworm was hand raised in the hospital.  He is not a healthy kitten, FeLV/FIV negative, completed his kitten vaccine series and has been neutered.  He tends to play too rough and is mouthy (not unusual for kittens raised without littermates) so he needs some training for that. Grubworm is ready for a home to call his own.
