On April 29th a very ill kitten was relinquished by his owner. His estimated DOB is 3-15-20. He is an orange and white male tabby domestic short hair. The prior owners had gotten the kitten as a gift 1 week earlier and he was not doing well. He had not moved for 24 hours. He was not eating. Upon presentation the kitten was hypothermic, severely dehydrated, flea infested and had a severe upper respiratory tract infection with concurrent eye infections. The kitten was critically ill. The owners relinquished him to Northwood for care. We named him Gingersnap. He was started on IV fluids and medications and gradually he improved. Looking at him now, you would
never know he was a death’s door. He is proceeding through his dewormings, vaccines and is being treated for ringworm. Gingersnap has been neutered and is ready for adoption.
