On March 31st a 4 month old kitten was found on Stadium and Tennessee Dr. near the FSU College of Medicine. She was pretty sore in her hind end and having difficulty getting around.  We immediately fell in love with her and named her Florence.  X-rays showed multiple pelvic fractures (right acetabulum, left sacroiliac luxation and left ischial fracture).  The acetabular fracture was the most severe,  displacing her hip joint into the pelvic canal.  This was causing her significant pain and making it diffult for her to defecate.  Surgery was performed to remove some of the pelvis to shift the pelvic bones out of the pelvic canal back into a more normal anatomical location.  It took some time for Florence’s pelvis to heal and for her to begin defecating normally but she is now! She is negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV, has been vaccinated and spayed.  Florence is all ready to join her forever family – come visit her today!
