On June 1 an injured kitten was brought to Northwood. She was found in the middle of the road on Hwy 61 and Crawfordville Hwy (near Burger King). She is a DSH brown and white tabby est to be 6 weeks old. She had a large open wound on the top of her right front foot and that paw is very swollen. At first there was concern we would have to amputate the leg if the tissue loss was too severe and she had no nerve/blood supply to the paw. However, the wound seems to be healing now. We will continue to monitor and not make any decisions about surgery yet. She is healing well, her name is now Coral.
