On August 31, 2025, a 3 month old (DOB 5-31-25) chocolate and white female pitbull was brought into Northwood on Emergency.
She had been owned for 1 month. They got her in Cairo, GA.
She ran under the car as it was pulling away. Her leash got wrapped up in the wheel, resulting in dragging the puppy for about 40 yards. All 4 feet were badly injured, with skin and soft tissue worn down/degloved to the point that tendons were exposed.
The puppy had not been to the vet yet, had not started vaccines.
Clover is doing great with medical treatment (bandages, laser therapy, etc). She will have some scarred toes, but uses all 4 feet well. She is progressing through treatment for round worms, vaccines, etc. Once spayed and microchipped, she will be available for adoption.
