On July 8, 2023 a very ill kitten came to Northwood Animal Hospital on emergency. She is a DSH calico kitten, est DOB 5-11-23,  the owner had found one week earlier and was taking care of, just receiving first vaccines/deworming at another hospital 2 days earlier.  Owner remarked that the kitten has always breathed faster than she thought was normal, but was told the kitten was fine.  Now the kitten is laboring to breathe.  X-rays confirmed the kitten has severe pneumonia.  The owner elected to relinquish the kitten to the hospital for treatment. It took a few weeks of treatment before the kitten we named Charcuterie to be breathing normally again.  She seems to have made a complete recovery.  She is negative for FeLV/FIV, completed her kitten vaccines and has been spayed/microchipped.  She just needs somewhere to call home.
