February 5th was a rough day for Champion.  He had gotten loose from his yard and when he returned, his left eye was hanging out of its socket, dangling down the side of his face. It was likely from a dog attack.  Champion had emergency surgery that night to remove what was left of the left eye, clean out the open the socket and close tissue over the wound so it could heal properly. Champion has recovered from this surgery well.  He is heartworm negative, updated on vaccines, has been neutered and had baby teeth extracted. This handsome boy is ready to go home to his new forever home!
