On May 16th a young dog was found on Jackson Bluff Rd. She was bleeding from her nose and unable to stand on her own. She was also showing neurological signs (head tilt and uncontrollable eye movements). She was most likely hit by a car and brought into Northwood on emergency. This sweet baby (Amelia Earhart) is a red female Australian cattle dog mix about 29 pounds and 9 months old. She was very lucky to have no broken bones and was walking on her own in a couple days. She was treated for head trauma, hook worms, spayed and vaccinated. Amelia Earhart still has a head tilt to the right but she is a complete love and it makes her even cuter!
