On Oct. 12th, Summer birthed 6 puppies. When Summer and her 4 remaining pups arrived at Northwood Animal Hospital several days later, she was very ill, but fortunately her puppies were healthy. Summer’s uterus had ruptured, likely while giving birth. She was stabilized with intensive treatment, including several blood transfusions, before going to surgery. Summer has recovered very well from surgery and is not currently on any medications. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and even had a dental cleaning recently! This happy-go-lucky Yorkie is ready to meet her forever family!
