On August 29, 2015 a hound mix puppy, 3 ½ months of age, was brought in on emergency. Tests showed that Macka was critically anemic from a severe hook worm infestation. His hematocrit was 5.8-normal for a puppy is 35-50. He received an emergency blood transfusion and was dewormed. He is now a normal, healthy puppy progressing through his puppy vaccines. He has just been neutered & microchipped and is ready for his forever home.
