As we were celebrating New Year’s, a small yet full-grown (stunted) stray gray cat was dropped off at Northwood Animal Hospital. She had a fever, skin infection, and her abdomen was so distended that initially there were concerns that she could be pregnant. Thankfully, ultrasound and bloodworm showed that her biggest problems were her skin and intestinal parasites. Today, both of those issues have resolved and this small cat is ready to find her fur-ever home! Though she still has a potbellied appearance and limited use of her elbows, we do not anticipate any long-term health probelms. Cecelia is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. You can visit her at Northwood Animal Hospital (Monday through Friday, 9-5pm).
