On July 13 th CARE was enlisted to aid in saving a stray dog that had been hit by a car and received serious orthopedic injuries. He was found on Miccosukee just East of Crump. There was a social media storm about Freddy Krueger. Another hospital had already performed x-rays and found that the male brindle and white pitbull mix (est. 9 months old-DOB 10-13-17) had pelvic fractures and the ball of his right femur had been broken off. He also had a laceration over his right tarsus with exposed bone. He was hospitalized, bandaged up and put on pain control. On July 23 rd he had surgery to remove the fractured femoral head. Freddy can walk again and is ready for a home!
