Freddie 1 Freddie 2 Freddie 3 Freddie 4

Freddie is a beautiful DMH 6 year old male neutered brown tabby cat, declawed in the front feet. Freddie joined CARE in early 2017 because he had eaten a foreign body and required an emergency abdominal exploratory surgery to remove the foreign body, found in his jejunum (part of small intestines). Freddie did well and started eating soon after surgery.  This was the second time in Freddie’s life that he ate something he shouldn’t have and required surgery to remove it.  His forever family will have to make sure to “Freddie-proof” their home so he cannot swallow hair ties, bracelets, and other problem objects.

Freddie has shown some cat-aggressive behavior while in CARE.  He was orgininally adopted from Thomasville.  Even then, he was extremely reactive in the presence of other cats and dogs, causing him to react aggressively.  Therefore, Freddie will need to be in a single-pet household.

After recovery from his second abdominal exploratory surgery, Freddie was re-tested for feline leukemia and FIV and his vaccines updated.  He is ready for a new home, but will need to be the only cat in the home, and obviously he is prone to eating things he shouldn’t so the home will need to be Freddie-proofed.
