On June 29th a very ill puppy was brought to Northwood for emergency treatment of severe diarrhea, vomiting, and anorexia. Crowley was quite ill and needed to be hospitalized, so the doctors at Northwood Animal Hospital worked quickly to start him on fluids, antibiotics, and other therapies. After two days of intensive medical care, Crowley started to eat a small amount on his own. Then he relapsed and it was discovered he was suffering from hypoglycemia in addition to his viral enteritis. Adjustments were made in his treatment plan and by day 6 he was eating like a normal puppy, doing great! Crowley stayed in isolation for 3 weeks to make sure he is no longer shedding virus before he could come back into the hospital. He was re- vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and ready for adoption. Crowley’s is beautiful, being mostly white with brown splotches. He is also very sweet and mellow. Please consider adopting this lucky little guy.
