On June 16th a group of CARE board members and volunteers were at the Downtown Market Place for an adoption event. While there, a family came to our tent reporting there was a tiny kitten stuck in a tree. Sure enough, a tiny little DSH Tortishell kitten (est. DOB 5-23-18) was stuck in the crook of a tree in the chain of parks. She had probably been deposited there by her mother, looking for a safe place for her. Dr. Cavell went home and got a ladder and retrieved the little one. Her name is Willow. Willow had to be treated for ringworm, but is doing fine now. She is FeLV/FIV negative, has been spayed and is progressing through her kitten vaccines.
